This year’s event was launched on Saturday 17 June at Bushey Grove Leisure Centre.
Staff and members at the centre joined members of the Moor Park 10k team to promote the event to centre users and encourage them to take part. One of the members in this photograph, Steve Tupling, ran in the very first Moor Park 10k in 2002.
Bushey Grove Leisure Centre has been involved with the event for a number of years, sponsoring some of the trophies and also leading the warm-up sessions on race day.
Sarah Keegan, Marketing Coordinator at Bushey Grove Leisure Centre, said, “We are absolutely delighted to join with the Moor Park 10k team to launch this year’s event. It’s always a really good day and it’s fabulous to see so many people taking part in sport, particularly from local schools.”
Bushey Grove Leisure Centre and William Penn Leisure Centre in Rickmansworth are keen to help runners with their preparations for the 10k. Speak to gym staff if you’d like more information.
Bushey Grove are also promoting their Born to Move classes of music and movement, aimed at getting young people active.
