We welcome involvement with local schools in promoting this event and also on the day. If you’d like us to come to talk to your pupils at an assembly or other event, please get in touch.

Schools may enter as many runners as they like. The first four to finish will count towards the team trophies.

All children who finish their race will get a medal!

The 2012 Shield is awarded to the school that enters the greatest number of children in the Junior Fun RunsAll the children entered in the Fun Runs will count towards the 2012 Shield which is awarded to the school that enters the most pupils. This is calculated to reflect the size of the school.

Please note: children should enter as a member of the team for the school they will be attending in September 2019.

Schools may wish to take a space in the Team Village to set up team ‘headquarters’. Bring a small gazebo or tent to provide a meeting place for your team, a place to leave kit bags and generally hang out between the races.

Many schools encourage their pupils to wear school PE kit – that’s up to you.

It is the responsibility of parents to bring their children on the day of the event. However, if teachers are able to come along on the day to encourage their pupils, this will be great. We’ll be writing to headteachers after the event to let them know the names of the children who took part.
