Eastender takes part in Moor Park Fun Run

The latest news from Albert Square is that Alex Francis, the young actor who plays Bobby Beale in the popular soap opera, Eastenders, will be taking part in the Moor Park Fun Run on Sunday 25th September.

Alex, 9, is keen on many sports, running in his school cross-country team as well as playing rugby, football and cricket.

Watching his sister take part in the Moor Park Junior Fun Runs in 2008 was all the encouragement he needed to enter the following year and he’s looking forward to taking part once more with his eyes firmly set on beating his previous time.

Alex has been in Eastenders for four years and loves being part of the programme. His current storylines do not include running but, with the Olympic Games next year, who knows?

He will certainly be ready to put on his trainers if the producers call for a sporting story. Meanwhile he’s trying to encourage fellow cast members, many of whom have wished him lots of luck, to join him at Moor Park on 25th September
